King and council.
Nature of request
Queneby shows that he sued a writ of ravishment against Santreour before the sheriff of London for the ravishment of his wife and his goods, but by delays, conspiracies and deceit he and the king have been left without satisfaction as neither Santreour nor the other conspirators can be found.
Nature of endorsement
He should sue his plea begun before the justices, and it is ordered to the justices that they do full and speedy justice to him.

Note
The petition possibly dates to 1314 as the petition refers to the plea being held in the octave of St John in the 7th year of King Edward. The petition does not appear to be of Edward I's reign, though it is possible that it is of Edward III's, though the hand of the petition does not appear to of the 1330s. However, the petition is endorsed in Latin, so is likely to be before 1322.
