The petition dates to 1300-1301 as Crokdayk and Lithegreyns had received the commission referred to in the petition in June 1300 (CPR 1292-1301, p.551), and Umfraville was receiving the fines levied from the people of his liberty in accordance with a grant of the king of 23 August 1301 (E 159/75 m.4d).
