Nature of request
Useflet requests that the king will enquire and do justice to him as Lacy wrongfully and without judgment disseised his father of moor in Inclesmore in the vill of Ousefleet, and this has now come into the king's hand by the release of the earl's daughter.1)
Nature of endorsement
Let Herle and Denum be assigned to enquire in the presence of the keeper there on the contents in the petition and return the inquisition, and when the inquisition has been returned, let it be ordered to the treasurer and chamberlains to search the remembrances and other muniments for the king.2) Coram rege.
