John de Fresingfeld makes three requests:1) He asks for the king's grace with regard to the chattels of French merchants which came into his hands during the war between the kings of England and France, for which he is charged at the Dublin Exchequer.2) He asks for the king's grace in the matter of a debt which Thomas Fitz David owed the king. He holds a quarter of Thomas' lands, in the march, whereas the rest of his lands are in land of peace, and their tenants quite capable of paying: although his heirs have nothing, as he alienated all his possessions when he entered religion.3) He requests free warren in his lands in Cookley and Rughagh in Suffolk, and in Lynn and Inchirourke in Ireland; and markets in Lynn and Fennor, near Inchirourke.

CCR 1296-1302 p.516 is dated 17 February 1302, and would seem to be in response to this petition; and both the grants in CChR 1300-26 p.56 are also dated 17 February 1302.'Irish Ancient Petitions' pp.26-7 dates this petition to 1302 on this evidence.
