Knights of the shires and all the commons of the land.

Nature of request
The king is requested to appoint some justices to take fines from all the former adherents to his rebels and enemies who wish to come voluntarily and confess their adherence; by this measure the king will have profit and the community of his land will be put at ease.1)
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege.2) It is the council's opinion that, if it pleases the king, this should be done.
Note
Dated to 1322 by Sayles, Functions, p.365 (no. vi), and as the petition seems to refer to the rebels of 1322, this seems reasonable.
