Petition made against the forms of peace and agreement made between the king and the king of France to grant by patents to the prelates, nobles and other clerks assigned to keep the peace and resolve disputes, sufficient power to bear the charges of their offices and they had under Edward I, so that they do not have reason to refuse their offices as happened under Edward II.

The petition seems to be early in the reign of Edward III as the petition refers back to King Edward, the king's grandfather, and the hand fits the a petition of about that date, though the form of the petition is unusual.
