- The attorneys request that the king view the letters and that similar ones be made concerning the relations between the king's masters and mariners and those of the count before the masters and mariners of his navy, which is now assembled, departs, with all the amendments which are able to be ordained for the king's profit and honour. Edward I had made an alliance with the count and ordinances had been made to settle the outstanding disputes between the merchants and mariners of England and Flanders.
