Nature of request
The people request a further remedy as the lands of many men who die without heirs of their body are sold or taken as escheats despite there being brothers and sisters who are the right heirs.1)
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege et magno consilio.2) The justices are ordered to identify who these ministers are who do this and stop them from doing this, and the king's court is to be certified of any reason that this cannot be done.
Note
Assigned tentatively, on the basis of the hand, to the first half of the fourteenth century. The petition is apparently cropped from a longer set, presumably of common petitions presented in parliament.
