Nature of request
The men request remedy and that they be taxed according to their goods and the chief taxer of Middlesex be discharged of the remainder on his account as they are greatly impoverished by the departure of the Common Bench and the Exchequer from Westminster.1)
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege et magno consilio.2) Certain people are to be assigned to enquire of the damages by which they are impoverished and ruined and of other articles concerning it. And when the inquisition is returned, the king is to be advised so that he can give his grace as he pleases.
