Abbot and convent of Westminster.

Nature of request
The abbot and convent request that their charters be confirmed in accordance with the answer given to their previous petition presented at York and including the purchase of the manor of Hendon for which they were granted a licence.
Nature of endorsement
They should go to Chancery and the charter should be confirmed according to the grant of the king so that if any article is prejudicial to the king then it is to be taken out just as is customary in Chancery.

The petition dates to c. 1312 as it refers back to SC 8/78/3884 and this dates to the York parliament held in 1312. It is unlikely that this petition is much later, and it is possible that this petition dates to one of the parliaments held at Westminster in August 1312 or March 1313.
