Bailiffs of the hundred outside the north gate of Oxford.

Nature of request
Complaints of the bailiffs:1) The men of the hundred should only be at the distress of the king, but are wrongfully distressed, imprisoned and excommunicated by the chancellor of the university.2) The Braundenes and many others came and stole fish and mowed the king's meadows.3) The Braundenes came again and mowed and wasted the meadow and took and destroyed the king's ferry boat.4) The Stapeltons freed Newton from prison following his surrender for his assault on Ceu's daughter.

The sheriff and the chancellor of the university should be written to that they should hear the parties and do justice.
