Nature of request
Letter from Edward II to Roger Beler, Keeper of Tutbury castle, explaining John de Wydevill's petition claiming the manor of Passenham, and asking him to search the deeds, charters and muniments formerly belonging to the Earl of Lancaster, and to send him anything he can find concerning this manor, so that he can do justice to the petitioner.
Nature of endorsement
I went to Tutbury castle and had the deeds, charters and muniments of Thomas, formerly Earl of Lancaster there examined; and I did not find anything there concerning the manor of Passenham.
