Nature of request
Iorwerth Voil states that he has served the King and his father well, and has been rewarded with the grant of the ringildry of Eifionydd hundred without farm, for which he has both kings' letters patent. However, John de la Maner, Under-sheriff of Caernarfonshire, is distraining him for £12 for this bailiwick, contrary to the tenor of these letters. He asks that he might hold the bailiwick without farm.
Nature of endorsement
He is to come to Chancery and show there the letters he has from the late king and from the present king. And he is to have a writ to the Justiciar or to his lieutenant to allow him to hold according to the form of the letters, and as he has held hitherto etc.
