Nature of request
A copy of the following documents:1) Petition from Aymer de Valence requesting wardship of the manor of Larport near Hereford, as William le Wyne, who held it of him, died in the King's peace, with response recording that he did die in the King's peace and ordering an inquisition into from whom he held, so that justice might be done.2) Writ from Edward II ordering an inquisition into how and from whom William de Wyne held Larport, in response to a petition from the executors of Aymer de Valence.3) Inquisition finding that William le Wyne held of Aymer de Valence by the service of a quarter of a knight's fee.4) Writ from Edward II to John de Barwe, keeper of the lands and tenements forfeited to the King in Herefordshire, asking him to inform the King how the manor of Larport came to be taken into the King's hand.5) Reply stating that it was because he was an adherent of the King's rebels and contrariants.

The inquisition was held on 12 June, 18 Edward II and the writ to John de Barwe is dated 10 July 19 Edward II - both 1325. This document seems to have been drawn up to accompany SC 8/77/3814, and seems to have been presented between then and the end of the reign.
