Nature of request
The petitioners state that Wyn, Iorwerth, Ednyfed, Adaf, Kenewryke and Ieuan left their lands in the hand of the King's father as they were unable to pay the rents, services and reliefs on their lands, so that the lands have been in the King's hand since that time. They are now able to pay, and ask that they might have their lands back, paying as they ought according to law and the ancient usage of Wales.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be sent to the Justiciar of Wales, so that, when he has inspected it, he is to inform himself on its contents and on the other circumstances touching this business, and to inform the King in the next parliament etc., sending this petition back to the King etc., together with the writ etc.
