Hugh, son of Peter de Twydemeuth, states that he has long served the King's father without any reward but his charter for a pension, and asks that he might be granted the office of Sergeant of Bamburgh castle.

Note
Northumberland Petitions p.176 (no. 152) dates this petition only to the reign of Edward III. The most likely date on the grounds of the content, hand and language would seem perhaps to be the 1330s, and probably after the recapture of Berwick in 1334.
