Nature of request
The Prior of Tynemouth states that he is so impoverished by attacks by the Scots that he cannot feed or retain men at arms or others to protect his house without aid, and asks that he might be aided with provisions for the preservation of his house.
Nature of endorsement
He is to have some of the victuals which are at Newcastle upon Tyne for his protection, to the value of £20, this time, of the gift etc.: and the keeper of the victuals etc. is to be ordered to hand them over.
