Nature of request
William de Thunneyk, clerk of Chancery, states that he was appointed to survey the houses of alien religious of the power of France in Northamptonshire, Rutland, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Lincolnshire, and that he received money from the King for his expenses, which is now being demanded from him in the Exchequer as a loan. He asks that he might be able to account with the Exchequer, and that what justice and equity demand might be done to him in the matter of auditing the account.
Nature of endorsement
He is to have a writ in Chancery to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer, to account with the said William for what he received there of the King's money. And they are further to do what is necessary.
