Gilbert de Toutheby asks that he might be pardoned a debt he owes for the wardship of the land and heir of Robert de Bavent, which he bought from Edward II, because of the losses he has suffered in all his lands in the diocese of Durham because of arson by the Scots.

It seems to the council that it would be alms to do it, if it pleases the King.It pleases the King, and therefore he is to have a pardon.
