- Mabel, widow of Nicholas Trymenel, states that John Trymenel has delayed her assize of novel disseisin, which she has sued for two years, by a counterfeit letter under the targe, sent to the sheriff of Warwickshire. She sued to the King's council at York for a remedy, and a writ was sent to the Sheriff to have the letter brought before the Chancellor in Chancery to be examined. The letter is now in the Chancellor's keeping, and she asks that it might be examined and judged by the King and council, and a remedy ordained for her according to the law of the land.
