Nature of request
Walter Tourk states that the King made him Keeper of the Exchanges of London and Canterbury for term of life, but that he has now revoked that grant without cause, and given the office to John de Wyndesore. He asks the King and council to have consideration for the fact that he gave the King his houses in Lombard Street and released and quitclaimed all right in them to him, in exchange for this office, and to do justice to him with regard to the office and the houses.
Nature of endorsement
If he has the office for term of life, as the petition claims, he is not to be expelled by any revocation without an answer.
