Nature of request
Richard Touchet makes two requests:1) He states that he was seised of the manor of Oxenton in Gloucestershire, of the gift of his brother, William Touchet, and was seised for a full year before his brother took it back. It is now in the King's hand through William's forfeiture: He requests the King's grace on this matter.2) He also requests the King's grace in the matter of an annual rent of 103s. granted to him by William from the manor of Burreth in Lincolnshire, of which he was seised for ten years before William's death.
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege.With regard to the first petition: he is to sue at common law because the manor is not in the King's hand.With regard to the second: he is to show his evidence in Chancery, and the truth is to be inquired into etc.; and justice is further to be done.

The commission for CIM 1307-49::no.564 is dated 2 December 16 Edward II (1322), but the inquisition was not held until the following September, and CCR 1323-7 p.64 is dated 8 March 1324.
