John Thripelowe states that John Asplon the elder, on the advice of his sons, both also called John Asplon, sued a writ of trespass against the petitioner and others in Cornwall, making false accusations against them, which resulted in the petitioner's outlawry, ruin, loss of goods and perpetual imprisonment, if the King does not intervene. He asks the King to order the Chancellor to throw the brothers John and John Asplon out of the royal court for this false accusation, and to send his letters to the Sheriff of Cambridge, ordering him to constrain John Asplon the father to make compensation to the petitioner for his damages and costs in this matter.

Note
A note on the guard states that the petition is dated to 29 Henry VI (1 September 1450 - 31 August 1451) in a hand that is possibly nineteenth-century. Two unrelated references to a John Asplon are found in CPR 1452-61 p.556 (5 December 1459) and 662 (8 October 1460).
