Nature of request
William de Thorp states that his father was convicted as a clerk of robbery in Lincolnshire in the time of the King's grandfather, and handed over to the Bishop according to privilege of clergy, and his goods were valued at 8 marks and delivered to the vill of Thorpe to keep until the Eyre. Richard afterwards made his purgation, but the 8 marks are now being demanded by the vill. William asks that he might be released from this payment.
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege et magno consilio.The record and process of the delivery are to be brought into Chancery, and if it is found that the said Richard did not flee, then he is to have a writ to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer that he is to be discharged of the demand; and if it is found that he did flee, he is to sue before the King to have his grace.

Dated on the guard to '? c. 1330' with reference to mentions of the petitioner in September 1330 in CFR 1327-37 pp.189 and 191, and in July 1331 in CPR 1330-4 p.155. None of these are directly relevant, however.
