Dated on the guard to '? c. 1330', with reference to CPR 1327-30 p.508, the appointment of attorneys by Thomas, Earl of Norfolk, going to Gascony, which is dated 16 April 1330. If this is the correct expedition to Gascony, the petition would probably date from a few years later, as the Mayor and people of London have already been ordered to pay Thomas once.
