The petitioners ask the King to forget his anger against them and their company and to readmit them to his grace, and to allow them to account with the Treasurer for the payments and assignments they have made for part payment of the debt that the company owes him, and that they might be allowed to pay the rest by instalments and to make assignments of their goods for it: as they have been imprisoned and ill-treated in France as a result of the war between England and France, and have suffered heavy losses.
