Nature of request
John Taillour states that although he came into England at Bishop's Lynn under letters of safe-conduct from the Keepers of the March to maintain the truce, on pilgrimage to Canterbury, the Bailiffs of the Bishop of Norwich arrested him and took his goods and letters. He requests a remedy, so that no English people are arrested in Scotland in retaliation.
Nature of endorsement
He is to have a writ to the Mayor and Bailiffs of Bishop's Lynn containing the effect of this petition, that if John has had such letters of safe-conduct as the petition supposes, they are courteously to permit him to go where he wishes, and to restore his letters to him.
