People of the honor of Skipton in Craven.

Nature of request
The people request that a remedy be commanded as the bailiff and people of Uppeland hold a market and fair and levy a toll, which thing they have done only since Queen Eleanor's time.1)
Nature of endorsement
Let certain people be assigned in the presence of the bailiff of the king there to enquire which toll this is, and when it commenced to be taken, and by what and by which cause was first levied, and how much this toll is valued per annum, and of all others, and let the inquisition be returned.2) Coram magno consilio.
