Nature of request
Gouke requests that Shareshull be commanded by letters that he grant a nisi prius against Seton in a plea pending before them between the king and Gouke, kinsman of Thomas Gouke, that they are to inquire whether Thomas Gouke died before 19 April 1350 at which day an outlawry was pronounced against Thomas Gouke for many felonies by which a messuage of Thomas Gouke was taken into the king's hand to Gouke's disinheritance.
Nature of endorsement
He should have a writ to justices to grant the nisi prius of to take the inquisition in the country though they are not to go to judgement without consulting the king.
