Note (Additional information about the record)
- The guard dates this to c. 1392 on the basis of two references to William Sewet, one of the petitioners, in inquisitions ad quod damnum which are not connected to this particular petition (C143/421/7 & 18). Given that the dating is only impressionistic, it is assigned here to the last quarter of the fourteenth century.
