Servat requests that he be paid the arrears of the sums that the king and the king's father owe to him from the issues of the customs of wool issuing from Southampton, Ipswich and Chichester.1)
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered by a writ of Chancery to the treasurer and chamberlain of the Exchequer that they deliver all the money that the king owes to Servat from all of the issues of the customs of Southampton, Chichester and Ipswich as is contained in the petition.2) Memorandum that nothing could be got from the customs of Marmande because others had writs upon this to the steward of Gascony, and of other moneys he had a writ to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer according to the form of the writ.

The petition probably dates to c. 1314 as Servat was assigned several sums from several ports in both 1314 and 1315, though none of these assignments seems to match the contents of the petition exactly (CPR 1313-17, pp.101, 305-6).
