Nature of request
1) St Semphorian requests that he be given the lands and rents of Bertrand, lord of Noylan, and Bertand de Mount Laures, the king's enemies and rebels in recompense of his losses. He has served in the king's wars in Gascony with troops at his own expense, and has lost £300 or rent.2) Greyley requests that he be assigned payment for his wages, and those of his soldiers and companions from the customs of the castle of Bordeaux until he has been paid.3) Greyley further requests that he be granted the office of provost of Sales with its high and low jurisdiction in recompense for his service and great losses.

[On face]1) Let it be ordered to the seneschal that he inform himself of the matter and certify the king.2) Let it be ordered the constable as before.3) Because the king is well informed of his good bearing, let it be ordered to the steward that he inform himself of the value of the provostship, and certify the king, and in the meantime it is to be granted to him to hold at his will.[On dorse: none]
