Segur requests remedy as he has been ousted from his lands and goods in Benauges by the vicomte there because he would not do homage to him and become his man, and he is unable to have justice as the seneschal will not act. His father was given the lands by the late king for his service, and by his charter he should not make homage to anyone other than the king.

An entry on the Gascon Roll for 14 Edward II (1321) appears to refer to the homage mentioned in this petition (Carte vol. I, p.58). Other entries on the Gascon roll place Bernard at Lupiac in 1322 and 1329.
