Nature of request
The prior and convent request that the king put a remedy for their house so that they are not disinherited of their right as they are accustomed to receive 20s. from the manor of Westerham by a fine levied in the king's court and which they received during the time of Kaunvyle and the queen, but which is detained by the abbot, and for which they are unable to distrain by the liberty of the abbot.
Nature of endorsement
It is ordered to the abbot of Westminster that he be at the next parliament and that he should have the charter of the king for the manor.

The petition dates to c. 1292 as the king granted the manor to Westminster Abbey on 25 October 1292 for the soul of Queen Eleanor, and the petition is unlikely to long postdate this (CChR 1257-1300, p.425).
