Mayor and commonalty of the town of Southampton.

Nature of request
The mayor and commonalty request that a commission be granted to Stonor, Louthe . . . to enquire whether the state of Redbridge is to the king's and others damage . . . The town is sustained by corn and fuel brought into the town by Redbridge bridge. This is in poor repair and not passable by cart and horse to the great damage of the town and to those who come to the town.
Nature of endorsement
Let Stonor and Aspale be assigned to enquire if it is to the profit or damage of the king or of any others if the king grants this request, and of all other necessary things, and return the inquest into Chancery, and let the king be advised.
