Nature of request
Sutton requests that due satisfaction be made to him in discharge of the alms of the king for he has not been satisfied for the ferry between the water of Hull and Drypool which Sutton and his ancestors had held, and which Edward I took into his hands and gave to the burgesses of Kingston to make a free ferry, and for land that the king took for a road through Drypool to Bilton bridge.
Nature of endorsement
He should sue at the common law against the burgesses.
