Nature of request
Stoketh requests that a remedy be ordained for him so that he does not falsely lose his rights in the vill of Kirton which Bromholm gave to him to re-enfeoff his wife, and which Burnham has entered claiming them as the escheat of the earl of Cornwall. He has brought writs for their return, but is too impoverished to proceed.
Nature of endorsement
Deyncourt, Chamberleyn, Toucheby and Friskenay or three or two of them are to be assigned to enquire on the contents of the petition, and the inquisition has been returned into Chancery so that the king can do further what he considers to be done.
