- The abbot requests that he can have the tallage from his tenants of the manor of Stoneleigh as his predecessors have had if it can be found from the rolls of Chancery of Henry III's reign. The king is tallaging all of his demesne throughout England and the manor is held as ancient demesne.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition almost certainly dates to 1303, or into 1304 as the petition is of the reign of Edward I, and refers to the levying of a tallage. As this was only done once in the reign in 1303, the petition can be very closely dated (Prestwich, Edward I, p.529; Lay Taxes in England and Wales, pp.26-7).
