- The petition dates to c. 1298 as Spissa was presented to the church by the king on 10 February 1298 (CPR 1292-1301, p.331). The petition does not make it clear whether Spissa had actually obtained possession or not, but it seems very likely that the petition will date to 1298 than much later.
