Nature of request
Singelton requests that remedy be made to her according to the verdict of an inquest held concerning land that was assigned to her as dower. Following Descoce's death without heirs she entered the land in Wrea but was subsequently disseised by force and arms by the earl of Lancaster. Following the earl's death the land is in the hand of the king and she has sued a writ to the Chancellor by which an inquisition was made and returned into Chancery.
