- Zouche requests writs to Trote and Baker under pain of 100 marks to be before the king's council to answer the earl and Zouche as they have procured that the tenants of the vill bake in their ovens when they by ancient usage should bake in that of the earl and Zouche. The earl, who is in the keeping of the king, and Zouche are lords of the town of Bridgwater and this is to their disinheritance.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition is clearly during the minority of one of the earls of March, and two possibilities present themselves - Roger de Mortimer (1381-1395), or Edmund Mortimer (1398-1412). Unfortunately all of the lords Zouche in this period are called William so that it is impossible to identify which is the relevant one, and the date range therefore has to be 1381-1412.
