Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition dates to c. 1329 as Scot was replaced in his office by one Richard de Melburn on 1 December 1329 (CPR 1327-30, p.462). The petition cannot be later than late July 1331 as that was when Cromwell was removed as justice of the forest beyond the Trent (CFR 1327-37, p.268).
