Nature of request
Oxeneford requests remedy and that he is able to have deliverance of his chattels since they have been distrained wrongfully and by collusion without any manner of law and reason. Arrears of the farm are demanded of the city, and were due from Leicester. He came before an assembly of the commonalty and alleged that Oxeneford and Scarle owed money to him and that the arrears of the farm should be levied from this. Oxeneford owed this money to Leicester's father who pardoned him it, and he has not appeared before the mayor and bailiffs as he has been arraigned without writ or other warrant and he is wrongfully distrained.
