Salopesbury requests remedy as he and his family are ruined as he was imprisoned by the provost of Valenciennes who would not accept that he was a merchant of England and freeman of the city of London despite the intervention of the countess of Brabant and the mayor and commonalty of the city of London, and only delivered him after the intervention of the count of Hainault.
