Nature of request
The petitioner requests that it is ordered by writ that the third part of the manor of Tormarton which she was dowered and seised of with her goods and chattels be rendered to her. She held the third until the king seized the manor into his hand because of the rebellion of Wellington who had the custody of the manor as chief lord during the minority of the Rivere heir.
Nature of endorsement
Faithful men should be assigned in Chancery to enquire upon the truth of the contents in the petition, and that the inquisition be returned into Chancery, and that if it agrees with the effect of the petition, let it be ordered to the keeper that he should remove his hand from the third part and he should deliver the issues etc.
