Nature of request
The Abbot of Ramsey states that, although he and predecessors have had, by charters of the King's predecessors, amercements of all their men allowed at the Exchequer, the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer are refusing to allow him the amercements of his men, mainpernors in a plea between the Abbot and Roger le Mareschal. He requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be sent before the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer so that, when they have seen the same petition and the Abbot's charters, and the allowances made to him in such a case, as the petition claims, swift and full justice is to be done to him.
