Nature of request
Ralph Russel states that Theobald Russel, his father, leased the manors of Hardwick and Dyrham to Roger de Cantok for term of life, so that they should revert to Theobald's heirs; but that after Roger's death the King's Escheators have seized the manors into his hand. He asks for writs to be sent to the Escheators to remove the King's hand, and allow him to hold in peace.
