Nature of request
John Roulonde and the other petitioners, who were the jury in an inquisition of novel disseisin between Adam Deveryngham and Robert le Conestable, state that because they gave their verdict against Robert, he is threatening them all with loss of life and limb. They request grace and a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
This petition is to be sent by writ to Geoffrey Lescrop and his companions, appointed to hold the King's pleas, and who are ordained to be in the county of Yorkshire to inquire into all manner of felonies etc. in the said county, according to the agreement made on this in parliament. And writs are to be sent to them on this, that, when they have heard their complaints, they are further to do what they ought to do, according to the law and the said agreement.
