Nature of request
William le Rous states that he was seised of six and a half acres of land in Westminster, near the manor of Neat, until John de Cardoyl, Roger de la Bedde, and Thomas le Messer, Edward II's servants of Neat seized it, wrongly, for his use. He sued from parliament to parliament, but could have no recovery, and the lands are still in the hands of the keepers of the manor. He requests aid and a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
Faithful people are to be appointed in Chancery to inquire into the contents of the petition, and other articles etc., in the presence etc.; and when the inquisition has been returned in Chancery, justice is to be done there.
