Maud, widow of Richard le Rous, states that on the morrow of St Botolph in the king's fourth year, John Chidiok, knight, and others came with force and arms to her house in London and robbed her of £40 worth of goods. She has sued against him before the Sheriffs of London, but has been able to have no justice, because he claims to be a member of the King's retinue. She requests grace and a remedy.
